About the Role:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist 3 (QAS 3) to lead and execute comprehensive testing processes for enterprise projects. In this role, you will ensure software quality and functionality by developing test plans, managing defect lifecycles, and collaborating with teams in an Agile environment. Your expertise in eligibility systems, automation tools, and test management will drive success in delivering high-quality solutions for mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary QA contact for releases, coordinating testing services and resources.
  • Develop and execute test plans that align with project schedules and quality requirements.
  • Ensure all testing activities adhere to established QA processes and daily goals.
  • Test eligibility systems such as Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, and Child Care programs.
  • Provide feedback to system integrators on the implications of testing outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve defects promptly and ensure closure.
  • Perform manual scripting and test execution for functional and integration testing.
  • Leverage test management tools and frameworks, such as Selenium and Cucumber, for automation.
  • Conduct reports and integration testing as required.
  • Proactively follow up on defects and respond to stakeholder requests in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and defect lifecycle processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with HHS eligibility systems and policies.
  • Extensive experience testing Medicaid, SNAP/TANF benefits, and eligibility rules.
  • Expertise in formal QA processes and best practices for systems implementation.
  • Proficiency in test management software and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber).
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical teams and stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of reports and integration testing.
  • Experience scripting and executing automation and manual tests.
  • Ability to analyze eligibility rules for integrated systems.

Location: Hybrid, Columbus, Ohio (2 days on-site per week: Tuesday and Wednesday)
